Arla Foods

Arla Foods is a co-operative owned by approx. 10,600 milk producers in Denmark and Sweden.
The Arla Foods Group is Europes second largest dairy company. In the 2004/05 financial year, the Group received 8.4 billion kg milk and a turnover of approx. DKK 46 billion.
The figures include milk volume and turnover from the UK dairy company, Express Dairies, which merged with Arla Foods UK subsidiary, Arla Foods plc, in October 2003. Following the merger, the UK has become the Groups largest market, accounting for 33% of the total turnover.
Sweden and Denmark account for 22% and 19% respectively while other European markets account for 13%. The remainder of the turnover derives from overseas markets.
